Boko Haram: Deputy Governor urges Biu Emirate to form CJTF

Deputy Governor of Borno state, Alhaji Zannah Umar Mustapha has urged the emir of Biu, Alhaji Mustapha Aliyu to encourage youth in his domain to form vigilante group to safe guard and protect the lives and property of the people against terrorist activities.
Zannah who stated this when he paid a courtesy visit on the Emir on Friday, in Biu local government, said the people can fight insurgency through collective interest.

According to him, the demonstration of courage by the youth in Maiduguri has paid off as the youth now arrest and hand over members of the sect to relevant authorities for justice.
He affirmed that an individual, prior to the current youth awakening could threaten the entire Maiduguri town, but things have changed drastically since the youth took up weapons against the insurgents.
He said, if the people of Biu come together and form such group, they would be able to overcome the Boko Haram challenges.
