(Exquisite Ladies of
the Year) awards last
night. Clearly elated,
she shared a minute

TMC: Congrats on the awards,
Tonto!

Tonto: Thanks. Feels good.

TMC: How confident were you
that you'd win?

Tonto: Very confident. I've put in a
lot into my craft.

TMC: Do you ever get used to the
being in the spotlight? Does it get
too edgy sometimes?

Tonto: Yes, I've tried to find the
balance. It is actually your work that
shoves you to the public light.
Sometimes you crave for silence and privacy and you realise you may never truly enjoy that me-time as you used to. But it's ok; fame is a small price to pay for what you love doing.

TMC: So what next? Any movie we
should be expecting?

Tonto: Oh yes, I've been going in
and out of different productions…
but I have dedicated time to work
on my music too. It is a very
important part of my brand.
Something fresh and exciting will be out soon.

TMC: Movies and music…
anything else you might be
interested in?

Tonto: I plan to produce my own
movie. I want to get a feel of
behind-the-scene and share the
stories I want people to talk about.

TMC: You do have an interest in
Domestic Violence…

Tonto: Yes I do, and I plan to build a system around that passion- one
step at a time. If I am able to help
women realise their worth then I
would have succeeded.
