Nigerian Policeman To Die By Hanging

After 5 years of a Rivers State High Court hearing a case of one policeman, Timothy Samuel who led a team of policemen on November, 10, 2010 to Old Aba Road, Port Harcourt where a certain Onyekachi Nwasouba , a sachet water dealer was shot dead has been sentenced to death by hanging. 

The judge described the policeman as “inhuman, trigger-happy policeman, who engages in murder; a hater of humankind and a merciless killer,” before sentencing him to death by hanging yesterday.

Onyekachi who was shot dead in front of his house was about leaving around 5am to start distributing his products to customers when he met his untimely death. The court heard that the late Onyekachi had screamed he was not an armed robber but a sachet waster dealer but Timothy still went ahead to shoot him. He died on the spot.
