This is a big deal. All these years, Nigeria has not been able to produce "ordinary" pencil. The ones you see are imported. Nigeria's minister of Science and Tech had said by 2017 we will started producing pencils, no need for importation anymore.
Finally, the Pencil factory in Akwa Ibom has started producing. More photos...
